The drama of extreme value and color are the foundations of my paintings. An effect of light falling across a subject usually is the push to begin.

While soft pastels are my media of choice, I’ve learned to love oils, as well. My subject matter varies from figures to landscapes and recently I have become enamored of the sand hill cranes who visit my property.
